I have been a professional mariner for 24 years and instructing for 12 on a large variety of vessels and with a myriad of needs from my students.
I founded the Ocean Sailing Academy, Inc. in 1997 and served as the lead instructor until selling the business in 2006. I hold a U.S. Coast Guard 100-ton Master, an MCA (Maritime Coastguard Agency) 200-ton Ocean Master, I am an MCA Power/Sail Instructor and Examiner, a U.S. Sailing Instructor at all levels, an ASA Instructor and a passionate mariner who holds a true love for the sea and everything involved in enjoying adventures upon her.
My assistance is strictly customized to your particular needs. We will discuss your goals, design a curriculum that develops the skills you need and proceed with one on one instruction for you and any crew that you may be interested in having along.
